Crochet LGBTQ+ Pride Frogs Pattern

Here’s how to crochet your very own pride frog based on the lgbtq+ pride flags! These pride frogs are based on my free medium frog pattern and for your convenience, I’ve included the crochet instructions with the color changes in this mod guide. Follow this pattern to make a 6-stripe, 5-stripe, 4-stripe, or 3-stripe pride frog.

Sapphic Pride Frog:

Frog:

Follow the same color changes as the 3-stripe frog.

Flower (shown in the photo):

For the frog in the picture, I used a free flower pattern by Hello Yellow Yarn that you can find here (flower pattern credit to MJ Carlos- Hello Yellow Yarn). In order for this flower to fit, you’ll need to use a thinner yarn than the yarn for the frog. I used Size 6 Super Bulky Yarn (bernat blanket) for the frog, but #4 Worsted Weight Yarn for the flower (with a 3.75 mm hook).

If you don’t have a different yarn size, you can try one of my mini flower patterns using the same yarn as the frog. Although I haven’t made these flowers for the frog specifically before, the size should be similar. If it comes out a little too large or small, I suggest sizing the hook down (to make it smaller) or up (to make it larger).

Alternative Flower (with the same type of yarn as the frog):

Using Yellow

R1: 5 SC in MR

Change Color to Pink

R2: [SL ST, CH 1, HDC, CH 1, SL ST] in each stitch for a total of 5 petals.

Sew the flower onto the white stripe.
