Tiny No-Sew Chick Crochet Pattern

Originally designed as an accessory for the bunny in my 2-in-1 Easter Bunny pattern, this chick is even smaller than my usual mini plushie designs. With fewer than 9 rounds and the widest round at just 15 stitches, this chick is absolutely perfect if you’re looking for a tiny and extremely fast crochet plushie project.

Find the free little chick pattern below. Make it on its own, or pair it with the original bunny pattern and now my soon-to-release chicken pattern too.

The original pairing:

When I created my 2-in-1 Carrot and Strawberry Bunny pattern, Easter was just a month away. So of course, it only seemed right to make an Easter Bunny version.

Since the original bunny pattern featured two bunnies holding little round cakes, I thought the Easter Bunnies could hold an Easter egg and a little round chick. Check out the Easter Bunny designs below featuring the chick!

Because of the bunny’s design, the chick had to be tiny. In order for the bunny to easily hold the chick between its hands, the chick had to also be a pretty simple and compact shape.

That’s when bobbles really came in handy. They were the perfect way to give it a little definition while keeping everything round, compact, and as an extra bonus, no sew!

p.s. you can also use my free bunny tutorial to make the matching bunny!

Another perfect pair? A chicken, of course!

With Easter around the corner again this year, I created an Easter chicken pattern.

I thought it would be really cute if it was a chicken painting an Easter egg and I couldn’t help myself, but included a little “chick in an eggshell” to go along with it.

As I designed this pattern, I had the little chick sitting on the table with me. I wanted the hatchling chick to look like the same chick, but sitting in an eggshell.

Doesn’t the little chick fit in perfectly with this chicken set?

With how well they matched, it only seemed right to make the little chick available as its own pattern.

That way, you can pair it with the hatchling chick or add it to the chicken set without needing to purchase my entire bunny pattern. And of course, it also makes a cute, tiny project on its own!

Here’s how to crochet this chick:
